Faster simulation for multilevel sample size determination (SSD) — under construction
Methods for multilevel SSD via simulation with options for improving
computational speed. Initially developed for
my
PhD
(see under Research below) and subsequently extended.
Count along to your multiple of choice!
An interactive web tool to practise counting in multiples. Originally developed whilst
volunteering for a primary school’s ‘Maths Mountain’ program which aims
to help children become more secure in
times tables
and
number bonds.
The code was written in vanilla JavaScript as a personal learning exercise and more recently updated for ECMAScript 6. It is ‘vanilla’ in the sense of plain, i.e. with no dependence JavaScript frameworks.

“ A faster simulation approach to sample size determination for random effect models”
This research considers simulation-based sample size determination
(SSD) and power analysis for fixed effects in multilevel regression
models with an emphasis on reducing computation time.
Conducted in the
Centre for
Multilevel Modelling at the
University of Bristol.
